Sforzando notes

On March 08 2008 at 5:45PM eastern time, i found myself unintentionally dodging the first documented instance of thundersnow in the history of Medina, NY. I was driving down Bates Road and through the most ostentatious weather that i had seen in nearly a decade. The weather wanted to make a statement about the colour White, which shalt be capitalized henceforth because it made a compelling argument.

Lightningbolts and thunderclaps are supposed to be hibernating until May or maybe April, and should certainly be inside during snow squalls, but this particular lightningbolt had awakened and it had decided that it completely disapproved of something very close by to my left shoulder. And then ZWAP!.

It made me stop, and then the thunders started. They sounded groggy, and muffled by all of the falling White bits.

I stopped at the gas station, and people looked at me staring at the sky or at the sky staring back. It was shallow and aglow of its own volition and less from the White dwarf off in the west, downstream of the fresh scent of a galaxy.

On Sunday i helped Chad and Erin move from house to house. Now they have a big house in Penfield, with a very big yard with very big trees. I wish i could tell what kind of trees but it is probably difficult without the leaves anyhow. We loaded five pick-up trucks four times. That is equal to twenty pick-up trucks.

Thundersnow? Isn't that an AC/DC song?

Ah, the joys of WNY weather. Almost makes me glad I live in New England, where Nor'Easters are miserable, but not apocalyptic.

Anyhoo, congrats to Chad (whom I have not seen in nine long years) on his new home. When next you see Chad, remind him that Lou thought he was mentally challenged, and therefore capable only of pushing carts.
